There is quite the European feel when you enter St. Augustine; driving over the Lion’s Gate Bridge into the heart of the oldest city in America was exciting and very romantic. The spiral turrets atop the castle like buildings and the detail carved into the nooks and crannies lured and sang to us as we traveled their streets.

We arrived in awe at the historic Casa Monica and observed the many Spanish influences incorporated throughout the great hotel. The wedding day of Meredith and Anthony was upon us; it was overcast and windy, but as the gorgeous bride said, she wouldn’t have had it any other way.

The knock upon the bride’s room was greeted with hair curlers and a perfume of hairspray. It was hours before aisle time and the room was in a calm flurry of dresses, makeup and hair. When a stopping point was reached, Meredith reached for a small box that contained a token from her beloved. In anxious curiosity she opened her final gift before becoming Mrs. Andrade. Surrounded by her very best friends she was adorned, zipped up, and pampered into the most stunning bride.

Anthony and his merry friends were excited for their brother to walk down the aisle and say I do. Before all the merriment could commence they were rewarded with beautiful boxes filled with liquid courage, cigars and customized cuff links. The final touches of Anthony’s grand suit were adorned by his father as the room bantered in playful tones before leaving for the church.

On the way to St. Augustine, we received an urgent email stating we would be in a different church venue tomorrow afternoon. Meredith and Anthony had planned on saying their vows in the oldest catholic church in the country, but due to drastic remodeling and scaffolding covering a huge part of the venue they decided to switch at the very last minute. You can only imagine the stress this placed on our dear bride and groom as texts, calls, and emails were sent to both guests and vendors alike. It seemed as though everyone got the message in time and the gorgeous new church held just as much grace as it’s predecessor. The ceremony was simple and unique, tailored perfectly for our sweet, adoring couple.

We were able to take a few beautiful photographs at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine, where Meredith and Anthony were originally set to be married.

After the ceremony, Meredith, Anthony, and the entire bridal party hopped on the most adorable trolley to tour the city and take some truly incredible photographs. We stopped at the fort and Magnolia Street, which was lined with these ancient oak trees before heading back to cocktail hour.

Upon entering the reception we were wrapped in warm pinks and purples. Diamonds dripped over the centerpieces and delicate orchids were scattered around. The night was filled with dancing, and celebrating with the new Mr. and Mrs. Andrade. The end of the evening was marked with a grand exit with guests wishing goodnight while lighting their path with sparklers.

If you know John the way I do, he was always a popular ‘kid’ with friends of many avenues surrounding him. I will spare you all of his wonderful qualities since there are too many to dispel, but I will admit that he is one of the most considerate and sincere guys you will ever meet. I can guarantee it. My husband and I are so fortunate to have made a lifelong friend out of our childhood comrade who was and still is both loyal and kind with a grand touch of respectfulness and polish.

Naturally, we became vested in his life (he was one of our groomsmen) and the softhearted, beautiful flaxen lady he introduced to us before our wedding day several years ago. Instantaneously you could see that together John and Lindsay both contributed a beautiful peacefulness and radiance that complemented each other. Where one was sweet the other was tender, where one was shy the other was gently amiable and though they were uniquely different they were so supportive of the whole.

Reciprocal encouragement, appreciation, patience and love are so evident in the way John and Lindsay relay their adoration. Having had some years to witness their love grow and flourish, we’ve been lucky enough to observe that this recipe of theirs just works. And I have no doubts that in their presence you too would feel that ever-sweet comfort and inspiration. Being bystanders and cheerleaders on their journey is truly wonderful as these two just tug at your heart strings. What’s more… they are incredible friends!

A love like theirs, with deep roots in family (their little man was featured HERE too) and faith is not only a rare find but an uplifting one. They have made the decision that their marriage will take refuge in God where their hearts and souls can rejoice as one. Above all else that intensity and unfailing passion they share, as a foundation to their relationship, will surely enfold and bond them.

We are so excited to witness how John and Lindsay’s love will continue to strengthen and grow in the years ahead. For, when placed with the demands of commitment, we hope that they always find happiness and never lose sight of their tender devotion to one another.

We met Michelle and Charlie as the sun was going down on an ever-so-hot summer evening in July. This couple is very special to us, as they are officially the first couple that neither Jacqueline nor myself knew either the bride or the groom before this session. Before this historic landmark in our company’s brief history we have had at least a friend-of-a-friend introduction. As we love getting to know our sweet couples, we asked how these two met. Michelle replied, “We walked down the aisle together at a mutual friends’ wedding.” Jacqueline and I stole a look at one another, relaying with our eyes the mutual agreement of this romantic and truly charming introduction.

The idea for the session was to walk around downtown Tallahassee and stop here and there as we went, to capture a unique and contemporary feel for this lovely engagement session. The result is full of color and textures and such unique locations. Of course, this pales in comparison to love and endearment we see between Michelle and Charlie. I love how Charlie makes Michelle smile. In almost every image you can see this sweet smile—not only on her lips, but in her eyes as well.

As we are walking along, Michelle casually states that she may have an idea for a location, one that she had not previously relayed to us. As we waited with anxious ears, she continues, “I work at the capitol and we could use the 22nd floor if you would like.” We tried to contain our excitement, but I still think a squeal might have escaped my lips. We couldn’t believe the amazing views the tippy top of the capitol building held.

Both Michelle and Charlie graduated from FAMU–Florida A&M University. We had talked about including the campus somehow in their images but the locations didn’t fit with the style they had wanted. BUT we love how this turned out. These two high above and their alma mater far below. It could not have been more perfect.

The day was soon approaching it’s spectacular finale as we completed our circle of downtown. We absolutely adore the sweet and lovely Michelle and Charlie. We will be bringing you more amazing pictures soon…as we will be capturing their wedding day as well! Eeepp!
Thank you both so much for allowing us to photograph these amazing moments. We are truly blessed and honored.

All little girls grow up dreaming of their wedding day. Some more than others, but still the same, you have an idea or two before you ever get the proposal. Living in Florida the dream day is usually imagined with blue waters, white sand, a crisp sky, a colorful sunset and the picture perfect moment. The Haro wedding checked all the boxes and then some. Mother Nature dealt us quite the hand this beautiful Saturday… except maybe the wind.

We could have done with a little less hurricane-force gusts that day, although when you are looking through the following images you will have no idea that we were battling it. The wind is definitely something most people do not think about when planning any sort of outdoor event. It sneaks up on you the moment of the big day and suddenly you are concerned about this particular force that you hadn’t even known was charted on your weather app. But I digress.

We arrived on the shores of Hillsboro beach, at the very point where there sits a lighthouse. Lighthouses are particular meaningful to Lisa and Kenny as they promised they would wed each other in front of one. <3 As our groom is a member of the United States Coast Guard, the house guarding the coastal shores also serves as a protecting beacon and symbol. We would like to take a small moment and thank both Kenny and Lisa; Kenny, thank you for serving our country and for the personal sacrifices you make to keep us all safe.

This very special day was filled with so many smiles, so much color, and many, many cheers. As we gazed back at this absolutely perfect day for Lisa and Kenny we both couldn’t help but smile to ourselves. These two are so in love and so perfect for each other. They truly are meant to share their lives together.

Happy Wedding Day Lisa and Kenny! Enjoy!

Our sweet bride Amanda holds a special place in my heart. She and I were best friends in high school; the kind that kept all your secrets, never once talked behind your back, and always gave you good advice even if she knew it would upset you. The type of friend who becomes family. This comes as no surprise as the loved ones who surrounded Amanda taught the same loving and caring characteristics as she bestowed upon me.

I remember the first time I had heard the name Stephen. As any good friend does, I immediately put my Defense cap on and wanted to know all things relating to this new beau. Our first introduction put me at ease. He was sweet and kind, ambitious and family oriented. Everything I could hope for for my best friend. I knew Amanda and he would be a magnificent match.

Fast forward many years, and we are attending this beautiful celebration in honor of these two lovebirds. The day was filled with such joy and happiness. Traditions were reverently honored as family jewels and trinkets were placed on the bride. Even the silver flower that sat in her hair was a tradition inspired by the generations who went before her.

Her tiny niece sits atop the bed watching the commotion and the transformation of a fiancé to a bride.

Amanda’s great-grandmother wanted a peek at the bride in her chambers. Her expression reminds me of a child seeing the tree on Christmas morning; filled with such wonder and awe.

To my daughter on her wedding day
There will be a time when my thoughts wonder far away
And just for a moment I will see
My little girl as you used to be.

We went deep into the man cave to capture these handsome men donning their finest. And when I say man cave, I mean legitimate Man Cave. Gorgeous wood flanked the walls, mounts were elegantly placed, and a coffee table made with an alligator complimented the room. Stephen was his ever calm self with his father and brother by his side smoothing and tucking his suit. Amanda’s younger brothers were valiantly attempting to puzzle out the complex tie situation. Even Mr. Guthrie seemed to be handling the fact that his little girl was becoming a Mrs. in a few hours. All was merry and if nerves were felt they were not showing.

Here comes the bride.

This photo always puts the song The Boys are Back in Town in my head. Always. And I have seen this photo quite a few times. :)

As with every wedding, the day seems to evaporate and the last song is coming through the speakers. One last slow dance; one last minute to try and sear all the wonderful promises and kind wishes into your mind. One last look at your gorgeous bride or handsome groom. A final moment before your life as husband and wife officially starts.

Farewell Stephen and Amanda! May you live happily ever after! We know such wonderful things are in store for you and your family. Thank you for allowing us to capture this magnificient moment and for trusting us so completely. Stay loving and kind and, Stephen, take care of my girl! 😉

Now that I have ‘ripened’ and come to grasp life outside of the ‘small town’ bubble I blossomed in, I’ve arrived at a revelation on friendships, privileges and blessings. For few women I’ve met on my twenty-seven year journey have assembled an incredible group of girlfriends like my own, comparable to sisters by stretch of time endured together. What is more, with that bonded reciprocal sense of dependability you discovered a familial acceptance through your tender, awkward and assertive years. A shared tolerance and approval, where you came to fancy and appreciate each other’s’ siblings exactly the way they did yours; despite your own thoughts of appearing uncool with a tag-a-long in the first place.

Sweet Caitlin was no more than five years young when we were introduced. Holding fast to a coy smile which peeked from beneath rosy cheeks, her cherub-like face kindly peered up at me as I grasped the pureness behind her lively blue eyes. Her flaxen hair cascaded and encased her as she affixed herself to her older sister’s limb where behind Caitlin’s small figure a scope of pink hues greeted me while I caught a glimpse of the dolls assuredly slumbering at her bare feet.

As with all of my friends’ siblings, I commonly veered from my usual visit and often occupied myself with the littlest relative’s engaging gaiety; little Miss Caitlin had been no exception. :) Still some of my fondest memories were when we all rehearsed our music in harmony and darling Caitlin unobtrusively opened the bedroom door without the intention to interrupt. She’d serenely locate her special place on her big sister’s lap and there she’d visit, just to listen in sheer delight.

With some countless years embedded in the soles of our shoes, my trek ultimately led me to document the self-sacrificial love between Caitlin and her soon-to-be husband Luke in their beautiful, sacred union. As somewhere along her budding journey, charming Caitlin found love in Luke and together they received their gift from God. Wholeheartedly they have chosen to give total dependence to Him as the authority in their marriage. Armed with the power to propel their marriage in Him, the radiance these two emitted completely captivated everyone in attendance.

Ashley and I were welcomed that morning to a roomful of composed eagerness and enthusiasm.  No sooner had we arrived when I immediately observed those features still reminiscent of the little girl I so often doted on. Evident was the pureness in Caitlin’s gaze and still endearing was her dependence on her loving sister, who tenderly rouged her lips and traced the outline of those optimistic baby blues.

It was during the recitation of the ceremony, from Caitlin’s benevolent brother-in-law, that I soon witnessed and understood just how profound their union as husband and wife would be. It was in the rapt gaze they each embraced and the sincere, authentic declarations of God’s message to their hearts on their ‘roads of destiny’.

Their honest and beautiful vows reaffirmed that they had in fact received the richest blessings in each other and their first feat as husband and wife confirmed faith in the basis of their marriage with the beautifully symbolic act of communion. With God central to their lives Luke and Caitlin have begun to create a foundation that will foster faithfulness, exclusivity and solidity.

This is one of the miracles of love: It gives a power of seeing through its own enchantments and yet not being disenchanted.

It truly was a privilege to be witness to and capture the joy that this union has brought endearing Luke and Caitlin as well as their grateful families. These two young souls have certainly grasped that true devotion involves reflective and abiding respect. You are both an immense pleasure to be around and we girls hope that God continues to gift you with true marital love and harmony. May He always lead you and guide you through your adventures together as one.

Nate + Kristy’s Engagement | Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort | Orlando, FL

Their love was genuine and honest. Their side glances and small smiles held secrets. Laughter was found in every crevice. They were without reservation and harbored complete trust. And we meet Nate and Kristy…

The Grand Floridian Resort encompasses all that you could dream of in the Florida of yore. The collosal hotel has every detail pinned, from the chandeliers that dangle in the lobby, to the corners of the porch lattice; you are immersed into this world and you believe. That is one of my favorite aspects of Disney. And it may also be why our adorable couple wanted to incorporate this place into their engagement.

As photographers, we yearn for couples who aren’t afraid to show the world how much they adore one another. This is not as easy of a task as it sounds…especially when onlookers and passerbys oodle and coo over you and your fiancé. As the images show quite clearly, the only two people in Nate and Kristy’s world were each other.

Such a beautiful and sweet love.

Welcoming all guests at the entrance of the resort are two modes of vintage transportation. A horse drawn carriage and a classic car.

Car wins, hands down.
It just doesn’t get any sexier than this.

Surrounding the Grand Floridian is an expansive waterway system that provides alternative transportation to guests. It also creates spectacular views and brings a sense of serenity to the air. Perched on the edge of the shores is a small restaurant called Narcoossee’s. On a warm evening, not to distant in the past, a walk down to the dock after dinner was in order. A knee was taken, and a promise was said allowed.

Her reply was agreement.

In the days to follow, there will be chaos; time will seem to evaporate. Hold fast to your adoration of one another, and remember to pause and reflect on life’s every moments and it will surely see you through.

Thank you once again Nate & Kristy. Your trust, friendship, and support has been so greatly appreciated. We look forward to working with you all in the near future! If you cannot get enough of these two and want to see more, simply head over to Facebook and look through their album!

It seems the modern bride wants to capture the ever romantic sunset ceremony for her wedding day. And why not? The background shimmers in magnificent colors, blending with the white sand. The music is a soft hum of waves petting the shore. A breathtaking, soul soothing ground on which to intertwine two lives. Add Key West to that mixture and you have Giovanni and Liz’s incredible wedding.

The Casa Marina sits behind the busy Duval street, tucked neatly next to the shoreline. It boasts deep wood tones and white walls and enough windows so you never loose sight of the blue water. Simple, understated (but in a good way) and glamour only a Waldorf could pull off.

Yes. Those are TOMS wedding shoes.

The handsome Giovanni as he dons his wedding day attire. Quiet, and oh so fond of his Liz, Gio, gracefully puts on his vest and jacket. His eyes escape the room and travel to the very spot that he will be meeting his bride shortly.

Meanwhile, in the bride’s chambers, utter chaos and beautification has fully commenced. Liz compliments Gio perfectly, as she brings such an amazing energy to every person and place she encounters.

Beautiful Bride.

Liz and Giovanni were open to a first look, as they would be seeing each other before the ceremony. We found a quiet area, towards the back of Casa Marina, and fell in love with the architecture. It served as the perfect backdrop to the beautiful and emotional moment of seeing your love for the first time.

There are simply no words for this image. The thoughts that must be running through his mind are to personal and beautiful to pen to paper.

He turns and wants nothing but for her to be in his arms.

As we promised, a perfect setting for the perfect beach wedding. Slight shade for the guests, and an affluence of beautiful stimuli…oh and a violinist. Can it get more perfect?

A tender moment between father and son, shortly before the ceremony begins.

The bride chose to have both her father and step-father walk her down the aisle. There were no attendants, no bridal party. Simple. Bride and Groom.

An emotional response as they gaze at each other once again, in the last moment they will be single. From hence forth they shall follow a religious ceremony to bind them as husband and wife.

Father of the Groom hands his son the wedding bands.

You may kiss the bride.

All the guests gather for champagne and chatter as soon as the ceremony ends. The signing of the marriage license and many congraulatory hugs and kisses are in order.

The creative session was spent along the shore. The neighboring resort held a gorgeous pier over the water’s edge. Liz simply had to have a few images taken there! Once we saw the amazing structure we of course agreed readily. We then trickled down to the sandy shore where there was a beautiful tree providing much needed shade.

The classic shot in front of the Casa Marina.

Mr. and Mrs. were welcomed into their reception with a standing crowd of close friends and family. There was only one dance that night, a sweet tune translating all the wonderful characteristics of Giovanni and Liz’s relationship. They smiled and laughed amongst each other, and the end of the music met with an unexpected dip. :) The rest of the evening was one of pure enjoyment and celebration. The dance floor was never empty and the room was filled to the brim with smiles.

As Giovanni is quite the musician, he had to finish the night with his guitar in hand, his band playing with him, and his bride rocking beside him.

Of course, this did not stop us from stealing the couple for one last shot outside the Casa Marina. The darkness and the lights changed the look of the beautiful resort. We wanted to capture their last dance in this quiet, gorgeous place. Thank you Giovanni and Liz, we had a grand adventure with you both and cannot wait til the next one!
